A Long Time in the Making
Kevin and I met years ago when I had gotten a job at Chili's. My best friend worked there and I needed a job so she suggested I apply there. Well I did, and I got the job!
I'm pretty sure it was my first day there when Alyse introduced me to her friend Kevin who also worked there. We became good friends really fast.
I was interested in him, but I was actually engaged at the time, so friends are all we were (though Kevin has told me since that he really liked me from the beginning and wasn't too happy that I wasn't available).
Oh how I wish I had known then....
We both went our separate ways and sort of lost touch. We found love, lost love, and about 4 years after that fateful September day, we ended up right back where we started. Chili's.
I was going through a rough time and Alyse took me to lunch...she had called Kevin on our way and said, "Guess who I'm with?"
He ended up meeting us for lunch, and told me later that he was actually supposed to meet another girl but chose to come and see me instead.
We have been together ever since, and have never been happier.
